How do you shift sentiment for the world's largest company? It isn’t easy being Walmart. Every step—and misstep—is examined under an intense public microscope. When reputation precedes you, the best defense is a good offense. For four years, I worked to help ease the public perception of Walmart via several national campaigns and strategic content creation. 

LIVE BETTER CAMPAIGN

Save Money. Live Better. Everyone knows that Walmart helps people Save Money ($14 flat screens?! How can I not!), but Live Better is often lost. To help tell this story, Walmart commissioned my team to develop a social campaign that showed how a Fortune One company can help real people in real ways. 

Human. Relatable. Effective. From veterans’ issues to domestic manufacturing, Live Better focuses on the people who directly benefit from various Walmart initiatives. Complex stories were broken down to simple two-word statements, relating back to Live Better. The resulting stories put a human face on dollars spent, connecting with fans like never before. 

#LiveBetter increased average weekly engagement by 179%. With over 53 million fans, the resulting earned reach was tremendous.
